Innovation is a race.
Anthony is a young engineer who works for Percy, a gung-ho but mostly deluded
businessman. Percy charges Anthony with designing and building a
4-dimensional printer that is different to the existing 4-dimensional printers.
Grappling with this bizarre assignment, Anthony confers with his physicist friend
Alessandro and his girlfriend Eva, an artist. He wrestles with the philosophical
meaning of the construction of a four-dimensional printer—where the fourth
dimension is time—and the world-changing nature of technology. As the week
progresses and he considers what his invention would look like (a time
machine? A black hole?) he becomes increasingly isolated and obsessed.
Will Anthony go insane under the weight of possibility and responsibility for the
project? Will a crashing realisation lead to the invention of a potentially
destructive prototype? Or ... has he already invented it?
